Hy-Line International is looking to have someone join our team as our HR Specialist. In this role, you will be based out of our Dallas Center, Iowa location. You will serve as an HR subject-matter expert to company employees and leaders and will be directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resource functions within Hy-Line and in coordination with corporate HR, Payroll, and benefits. You’ll also ensure the accurate, timely, and compliant completion of HR administration tasks in a way which emphasizes customer service and hospitality toward team members and leaders. You will work with the corporate HR and payroll team to ensure the company’s HR and benefits administration is employee-focused, tightly organized, compliant, and running smoothly. This role involves being able to work with all levels in the company and external partners. Prior HR experience and exceptional organization and administrative skills are required for success in this role.    

A bachelor’s degree in HR or related field from an accredited institute is required. A minimum of three years’ experience successfully administering HR activities is required. HR certification(s) preferred but not required. Candidates must have experience demonstrating knowledge of effective HR administration, including the basic elements of compliance, payroll, benefits, investigations, employee inclusion and engagement, and reporting and handling of regular and frequent questions.  The ability to handle sensitive data and interactions confidentially is non-negotiable. Spanish speaking bilingual skills preferred but not required. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as work with a team. Must also have great customer service skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to learn and utilize an internal database and internal company technology programs.

To meet our goals, you will need to be a detail-oriented self-starter that can think out of the box, familiar with root cause analysis, able to train employees, organized, believe in the company’s vision and mission, and have knowledge in internal and external auditing, ability to work with Microsoft word, excel, other computer programs, and Bilingual is highly desired.
